A Long Pond man was arrested after thousands of images of child pornography were discovered on his computer.

Jonathan Aaron Brownlee III of 3203 Beaver Dam Road was charged with fourteen hundred counts of Sexual Abuse of Children.

The arrest came after a tip from the National Center for Missing Exploited Children that someone living in Tobyhanna Township appeared to be uploading child pornography on to their own computer over the internet.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police began an investigation, and determined that the person uploading the photos was at 3203 Beaver Dam Road. On June 17, police executed a search warrant and seized computers and computer disks. After further investigation, police identified the person responsible for uploading this contraband as Brownlee.

The items seized were forwarded to the PA Attorney’s Generals office for analysis. The computers and computer disks were examined and thousands of images of child pornography were identified.

On Dec. 2, police conducted surveillance of Brownlee at his home. Brownlee apparently learned that police were on their way and exited the rear of his home carrying something into a shed.

Brownlee was arrested there at 1 p.m. without incident. Police said they recovered additional contraband from him and hidden inside said shed.

Brownlee was taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility and later arraigned via video by District Magistrate Jolana Krawitz in Snydersville. Bail was set at $50,000.00 and a preliminary hearing was scheduled before District Magistrate Judge Richard Claypool on December 10, 2009.

Southlake Mall was evacuated Wednesday night after a man dressed as an elf allegedly told the mall Santa that he was carrying dynamite.

But when the squad examined three packages left near Santa, the incident was declared a ho-ho-hoax.

The bad elf, William C. Caldwell III, was being held without bond Thursday into Clayton County, charged with having hoax devices, making threats, false imprisoment, simple assault, reckless conduct, disorderly conduct and false public alarm.

The incident began about 6:45 p.m. when Caldwell, 45,  got in line at Southlake Mall to have his picture made with Santa.

When Caldwell, who was wearing an elf suit, reached the front of the line, ” he told Santa Claus that he had dynamite in his bag,” Morrow police Capt. James Callaway said. “He said that two times to Santa Claus.”

Santa notified mall security and Morrow police quickly arrested the 5 feet tall, 108 pound Caldwell.  The mall was evacuated and the squad was called in to examine the packages.

No dynamite was found, but the mall remained closed the remainder of the evening. Police have not said what was in the bags.

Callaway said that despite Caldwell’s attire, he was not a part of the mall’s Santa operation.

“He has no relationship with Southlake Mall whatsoever,” Callaway said.

COLLIER COUNTY — A van, a light and a lack of clothes landed a Lehigh Acres man in the slammer on Monday after Collier Sheriff’s officials said he exposed himself to two women in the parking lot of a store off Juliet Boulevard.

According to Sheriff’s reports, deputies arrived at the store’s parking lot after a woman and her daughter reported seeing a naked man, later identified as David Todd Napodano, 42, stand-up inside a white van and shake his hips at them.

Once on the scene, deputies located Napodano’s 2004 Chevrolet box-truck van in the parking lot.

Reports said deputies spotted a still naked Napodano inside “in plain view” an hour after he flashed the victims.

When deputies spoke with Napodano, he told them he had “explosive diarrhea” and he was using his underwear to clean himself, according to the report. But upon examining Napodano’s underwear, deputies found no evidence of uncontrolled bowels, according to the report.

Napodano, of the 200 block of Ivan Avenue N., Lehigh Acres, was arrested and charged with indecent exposure.

CONWAY, S.C. — A South Carolina man caught on video having relations with a horse was sentenced Wednesday to three years after pleading guilty for the second time in two years to abusing the creature.Rodell Vereen was also ordered never to go near the stable where the horse’s owner caught him and held him for authorities at shotgun point over the summer. He apologized to the woman and to himself after admitting to buggery at the Horry County courthouse.

Authorities in Baxter County, AR, responded to an 9-1-1 call a little after 4 this afternoon (10-26-09)from a woman who said her husband Jason Marshall (a.) had assaulted her with an axe.

A short time later, a second 9-1-1 call was received from the victim stating she and her children had managed to escape but needed medical attention.

The victim drove her vehicle to the intersection of CR 46 and US Hwy 62 where she met with Sheriff’s Deputies and ambulance personnel from Baxter Regional Medical Center.

Both the victim, 41 Year old Elizabeth Ann Marshall, and her 9 year old son were transported by ambulance for injuries received during the altercation.

Corporal Mike Holland and Deputy Mike Day responded to the residence and made contact with the suspect, 29 year old Jason Thomas Marshall, the husband and father of the victims.

After further investigation the deputies attempted to place Mr. Marshall under arrest. Mr. Marshall attempted to fight the officers and after a brief struggle, they used a Taser to subdue the subject. Mr. Marshall was transported to the Baxter County Detention Center.

At the Detention Center, Mr. Marshall continued to be combative, causing damage to the booking area before he was placed in a holding cell in restraints.

Based upon statements and physical evidence found at he scene, Officers were able to determine that after an argument broke out between Jason Marshall and his wife, Mr. Marshall became violent striking his wife in the arms, head, back and pelvic areas.

When the 9 year old son attempted to help his mother, Marshall allegedly threw the boy to the ground and slammed his head against a wall.

Elizabeth Marshall, her 9 year old son and her 16 year old daughter, managed to escape out of the house and to her vehicle outside.

Jason Marshall followed, picked up an axe and swung it at Ms. Marshall, barely missing her and striking the vehicle. The force was such it left a large impact area on the car.

Mr. Marshall is being charged as a Habitual Offender because of numerous past felony convictions. He has served time in the Arkansas Department of Corrections because of a previous conviction of aggravated assault on his wife when he came at her with a knife.

He is currently on parole and is being held on $250,000 bond.

Clarksville, Tennessee – April Taylor and Scott Hodges were arrested this week after a gas station clerk broke up a brawl between them – each outfitted with their individual weapons of choice. A hammer, a set of nunchucks and a bucket of water.

According to Clarksville Police, the fight began Hodges pulled up to a Kwik Stop gas station in his cab and became engaged in a brawl with Taylor, who armed herself with a hammer.

Not wanting to be outdone, Hodges armed himself with a set of nunchucks as the pair took their argument inside the gas station.

The clerk inside the store brought the fight to an abrupt stop using a bucket of water after contacting police. Both were booked on charges of aggravated assault.

DOVER-FOXCROFT (NEWS CENTER) — Police arrested Donald Denbow, 67, of Shirley on Tuesday and charged him with gross sexual assault. They say he had been having sex with a girl under the age of 15.

Dover-Foxcroft police say Denbow arrived at a pre-arranged location expecting to meet a 15-year-old girl who was going to have sex with him. Instead, police arrested him.

Authorities say their investigation started in August when a 15-year-old girl came to them and said Denbow had started assaulting her when she was 10 years old and worked at his barber shop in Dover-Foxcroft.

An affidavit filed in court in Dover-Foxcroft states the girl told police from the time she was 10 to when she was 12, Denbow had sex with her hundreds of times and took pictures of her naked using a Polaroid camera. She told police Denbow would give her wine that made her “dizzy and unable to feel anything” before they had sex.

The paperwork also states the girl told investigators Denbow gave her about $5,000 since 2004 for having sex with him, as well as working at his barber shop.

Lt. Scott Arno of the Dover-Foxcroft Police Department said during their investigation they found a second 15-year-old girl who says Denbow had sex with her when she worked for him.

Arno said the investigation is continuing, and he expects more charges to be filed.

Denbow has been released on bail. He is expected in court in December.

York, South Carolina – Pretty much everyone has at least one neighbor they wish would move away. But not all of us are forced to use eye bleach every time our nemeses neighbor mows the grass. One South Carolina resident wasn’t so lucky.

Angela Jonas, a 50-year-old South Carolina woman was arrested Tuesday after she decided to go for a half naked stroll down the street.

According to the York County Sheriff’s Office, Jonas was found by police walking topless down her neighborhood street after a resident told police Jonas had been calling and harassing her repeatedly.

Deputies tried several times to speak with Jonas when they first arrived – asking her why she was naked from the waist up. After the woman refused to give a clear answer, she was taken into custody without incident.

Investigators say Jonas later told them she likes to cut her grass in the nude, according to the arrest report.

She was booked on a charge of indecent exposure. Her bail was set at $1,000.
